Can I get paid to take care of my mom?
Yes. In Michigan, an adult child can be paid to provide the day-to-day care a parent needs at home — help with bathing, dressing, meals, medication reminders and getting around safely. It is the care you are most likely already giving.

No. Many caregivers drive over each day. Living in the same home is fine too — neither one changes whether you can be paid for the care you provide.
